Did the Red Sea Become an Ice-Bridge in Exodus?

Professor Ernest Martin and Finis Jennings Dake in his Annotated Reference Bible, put forth the theory that the Red Sea became an ice-bridge created by Lord YeHoVaH for the Israelites to cross over to the Promised Land. Was Martin correct in his assessment?
