"Fall" Festivals Dating 2023
« on: September 11, 2023, 06:32:13 PM »
The Messianic World is divided on the current calendar obligations as to when to recognise the dating of Yom Teruah (Rosh HaShana) this year 2023. The problems of last year, concerning doubtful new moon sightings, have swept into this current year as well.

IF
the new moon is sighted by the naked eye (not with binoculars) from Jerusalem, Israel on 16th September then…

Yom Teruah will commence at sunset 16th September and conclude sunset 17th September.

Yom Kippur will commence at sunset 25th September and conclude sunset 26th September.

Sukkot will commence at sunset 30th September and conclude at sunset 6th October.

Shemini Atzeret will commence at sunset 7th October and conclude at sunset 8th October.

Should the new moon not be sighted on the anticipated 16th September, and is sighted on 17th September, the “Fall” festivals will be observed a day later than the dates listed above.
