Hi everyone,
It’s been a hard week for many. Those of us not directly involved with the people who celebrated Hanukkah but who identify with them have been in shock, distracted in all our thoughts and deeds. It’s beyond the feeling of a heaviness. It’s been an eye opener to many and a nodding of the head in acknowledgment of that which we have all feared would take place. There are others like us, whose senses were on alert and are disgusted with our present pro-Palestinian Labor (communist, err, umm, socialist 🙄) government and its constant inaction and indifference to antisemitism, security for the Jewish communities and a pandering to one side against all Australians. Just ask one. We can only wonder what dirty deeds not done dirt cheap have taken place to make them so one sided.
We live like this with a sense of insecurity to some extent. It’s always just under the surface that there are people “out there” who want to kill you. As Messianic (Christian) believers, we are, shall we say, not liked very much by some on all sides.
Here we are as Christians everywhere, Jews everywhere, all just as vulnerable as those innocents at Bondi Beach last Sunday 14th December, as were many passersby and the amazing on the spot surf lifeguards and first responders. We are all vulnerable to this violent terror and the ones who bring that terror see us as soft targets and unless our government gets its you know what into gear and does more than make the guns laws more restrictive (so lame), terror will walk and defame our sacred places everywhere.
Some idiotic journalists have said the actions of this father and son was not a religiously motivated act, inferring that their holy scriptures don’t teach that. I repeat, you don’t hate the leftist media enough.
Not mincing words anymore, good people, I’m channeling my light, my fire, my faith in Yeshua as my victory. Getting righteously angry is good, if you can manage to channel it correctly into accomplishing deeds of charity, encouragement, empathy and that ever elusive “fellow feeling”. It’s diminishing more and more and isn’t it foretold in the Scripture that “the love of many shall wax cold”? At least we recognise what’s happening here. The zeitgeist some say. Somewhat. Whatever. The elemental spirits is what it is and they have captured the minds of many worldwide. The delusion is perceptible.
Not to fret, like Shaun Hannity says: Let not your heart be troubled. Wise words. Needs practice doesn’t it 😊. I’m with ya.
YeHoVaH is still captaining the ship. Meanwhile, He feels the pain, the fear and the shock, He knows our agonising as well as our prayerful praise. YeHoVaH through His Living Word and through Yeshua HaMashiach our soon to be reigning here on earth, our King of kings and Lord of lords who is our champion and our hero, is our sustenance and our shalom. He is the only place to go and fling yourself at, not only in the worst of times, but in the best of times. We are to fall on that Rock. To quote a song: “His loving arms are open wide and in His great love you can abide.”

Following on are a couple of news reports from a day or two ago of the other hero, followed by the paddle out of the surfers in memory of the deceased and injured and to claim back the territory that they see has suffered a violation. It has. A couple of our sons surf, have surfed there in the past and swam there at Bondi Beach so it was more than heartwarming for us to see this display of solidarity, empathy and love.
