Sane & Accurate Thinking Still Exists -- by God's Explicit Will.

A few years ago, after I had presented to the IMCF at a festival Yeshiva what I thought was at the least a very informative lecture on the coming EndTime holocaust of the Jewish people, a family of Jewish Messianic believers (with whom we had become quite family-friendly) stormed out and never returned. They did not want to accept, understandably, that there would come yet again another negative "Great Tribulation" on Jacob. They had held tenaciously to an erroneous idea -- promulgated by a certain segment of the Messianic Movement -- that the Great Tribulation of the Jewish people had culminated in 1945. All we were doing now was awaiting the Second coming of Mashiach in glory as the Warrior King of Davidic descent.

Sadly, this family apostated completely and the husband and wife finally divorced and their family stability was shattered. I do not have any idea where they are at this time. But the essentials of that lecture have become certainties today -- more than two decades later from when they departed from us. But back in 1981, 1992, or even 2000 who would have thought that the mighty USA and the European nations would one day witness a resurgence of anti-Jewish hatred fueled by Islamic extremists even insinuating themselves into high positions of governmental authority within our politically democratic systems?

The countdown to the Final Holocaust -- called "Jacob's Travail" or "Jacob's Trouble" by the Hebrew prophets -- is becoming a tragic reality just a mere 74 years after the conclusion of World War 11. A lot of bloody water has flowed beneath the proverbial bridge over the past decades, and yet most people seem to be completely unaware of the terrifying world in which we really live.

Our local neighbours are living out their lives from one day to the next losing themselves in the busyness of worldly pursuits without a care in the world about any major issues that could unsettle their personal sense of tranquility and their fantasy "peace of mind." Being saturated in a "driven" life that involves evangelism and the proclamation of the Word of God to any and all who have open ears, eyes and hearts can become a strenuous activity that involves a constant "living on the edge" mentality. Both the Rebbetzin and I therefore seek creative opportunities to welcome balance in our life as a necessary "balm of Gilead." We do not always find it.

Then, occasionally, we find encouragement that there still exist sane voices apart from those of our brethren in the IMCF. Living right next door to a young husband and wife who are not just anti-Semitic but who want to see a communist revolution topple the Australian way of life, and who desire at every opportunity to espouse their "lefty lunacy" at us (even knowing what we stand for) is not easy. But we survive somehow by God's Grace. Who are some of these sane voices to which I just referred?
